Court to hear Amar Singh's plea to go abroad

A Delhi court will today take decision on former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's plea to go abroad for treatment. Singh's interim bail in the cash-for-votes scam case ends today.

A Delhi court will on Tuesday take decision on former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's plea to go abroad for treatment. Singh's lawyer had filed an application in a Delhi court on Monday.

Singh's interim bail in the cash-for-votes scam case, which was extended till September 27 by the Tees Hazari court, ends on Tuesday.

Singh was granted bail by the Tees Hazari court on medical grounds on conditions that he cannot travel abroad and had to surrender his passport. Video

Singh has been suffering from UTI, increased serum creatinine, vitamin B12 deficiency and increased TSH.

His medical report by the All India Institue of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that he had developed severe abdominal pain and he is prone to infection as he had undergone renal transplant.

Amar Singh was earlier arrested in the cash-for-votes scam.
