Special judge Talwant Singh issued the summonses for November 27 to the six accused, including two UK firms, taking cognisance of the CBI chargesheet against them.

The summoned accused included OC joint director-general TS Darbari, deputy director-general Sanjay Mahendroo and treasurer M Jaychandran.

Besides them, London-based businessman Ashish Patel and his two firms AM Car and Van Hire Ltd and AM Films have also been summoned as accused by the court.

"I have gone through the documents filed with the chargesheet. There is sufficient material to take cognisance of the offences mentioned in the chargesheet against the four accused persons and two companies," the judge said.

The accused have been booked for various offences under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, including those of criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery.
