A 20-year-old woman was drugged, abducted and assaulted by a friend and dumped at an isolated place in Vasant Vihar on Thursday night, police said.

The woman — a management graduate from a Noida college — told the police that Prashant offered her a lift in his car from the Priya Cinema complex in Vasant Vihar and gave her a soft drink mixed with sedatives.

“She said Prashant physically assaulted her in the car and drove around the city for several hours. Prashant then called Milind, and the two shifted her to his car and dropped her at an isolated spot in Vasant Vihar,” a police officer said.

Prashant and Milind have been arrested. “A case of abduction, drugging and assault has been registered,” said Rajan Bhagat, Delhi Police spokesperson.

While Prashant was the victim’s senior in college, Milind did a course in hotel management from another institute.

Police said the woman, after being dumped, called up her family in Vasant Kunj and reached the AIIMS trauma centre.

“We got a call from the hospital that an injured woman had been admitted. A team was sent to record her statement,” the officer said. The woman had come to Priya Cinema to watch a movie with another friend, who left after the show.
