Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Pitampura and Wazirpur experienced long power cuts and supply to some areas is expected to normalise only by Saturday.

There were reports of outages in east Delhi too, particularly Krishna Nagar, Mayur Vihar, Pandav Nagar and New Ashok Nagar. But BSES Yamuna Power Limited denied this.

The storm also broke down power distribution network in Ghaziabad, hampering supply for the next week. Officials said Indirapuram, Vasundhara, Ramprastha and Vaishali may witness outages up to 16 hours daily.
