The hospital will focus on the special needs of those people who need assisted living facilities due to disabilities or old age. It will also provide super- speciality services in areas such as cancer (oncology), cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, bariatric surgery among others, with state -of -the- art equipment.

"Now a days, people run to hospitals even for small injuries. However, there is still a large section of society who thinks that hospitals are not affordable because they are not aware of the health schemes for poor," said Dikshit during the inauguration.

The group's vision 2004 was to have five hospitals by 2020 but it now plans to complete its target by 2015.

The planned medical corridor will extend from Qutab to Manesar by end of this year and will cover the western border of Delhi by 2015 to eventually cover the entire Delhi NCR.
