The “Citizens’ March – Justice for DU”, slated to begin at 2 pm, is against the ABVP’s “hooliganism” in the college campus on February 21 and 22 after Left-leaning groups protested the cancellation of an invitation to JNU scholar Umar Khalid for a literary event.

The cancellation was done after ABVP objected to the invite, saying a person accused of anti-national activities cannot come to DU.

The DU students taking out the march said that this protest is to reclaim the university space which is for dissent, debate and discussion.

“The police saw them (ABVP) rioting, yet no action till now. We will hit the streets again,” read the posters of the event.

On Thursday, ABVP had also taken out a ‘Save DU’ march against the alleged anti-nationals.
