Delhi University will extend the last date of online registration for admission to undergraduate courses to June 22 from June 19.
Delhi University will extend the last date of online registration for admission to undergraduate courses to June 22 from June 19.
This will mean the first cut-off list may come out on June 30, three days later than scheduled.
University sources said the decision is being taken in view of the many representation received by DU to extend the dates as many OBC (non-creamy) category students were not able to upload their income certificates.
“The last date to fill the online registration form will be extended to June 22 and thus the first-cut list will be out on June 30. The entire admission schedule is being shifted by three days,” said sources from the admission committee.
This year the university will bring out only five cut-off lists. The number of applicants who registered online rose to over 3 lakh on Thursday.
The application process this year is fully online. From filling the application form to uploading documents, paying registration fee and also selecting the college everything can be done at the click of a button.
The online registration for all categories, including Sports, extra curricular activities (ECA), Kashmiri Migrants, and CW (Defence) is online.
“From registering to selecting colleges and finally paying the college fees, everything is online. This will save students a lot of time and hassle,” said an official.
Aspirants need to log on to the DU portal (www.du.ac.in) to register and fill the application form. Apart from filling the form, students will have to upload a copy of self attested mark sheet of Classes 10 and 12 and reserved category certificate. The size of the file should not be more than 200 KB. Similarly, the photograph and signature should also not be more than 50KB each.
Starting this year, the students applying under the sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota can also opt for the category using the centralised admission form.
Aspirants can check the college and the course they have qualified for and log on to the DU portal using the same registration number.
The registration fees is `100 for unreserved and OBC category while `50 for SC/ST/PwD (Person with Disabilities).
