The step was taken following repeated complaints by IK Banga, president of the Sector 30 Resident Welfare Association. His complaint finally came up for hearing before a grievance committee on Saturday that gave orders for the survey.
There are over 100 big and small dying processing units in Faridabad and Ballabgarh, which Banga says are the main culprits.
“The best option is to create separate zone for textile plants, away from residential areas,” said Ravi Jindal, President Faridabad Textile Processors Association. “The committee for the survey will report back after April 1,” said deputy commissioner Praveen Kumar.
