The reason: party president Nitin Gadkari does not want infighting to affect the rally, where he plans to see close to 25 lakh people.

"Gadkari has decided that in states where presidential polls haven't happened... will be completed after April 21," said spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy.

On Friday morning, MLAs and MPs close to Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Modi met Gadkari to press for Mangal Pandey as Bihar president. Chandramohan Rai met Gadkari in favour of the other frontrunner Ashwini Chaube, who has RSS support.
