Hazare supporter who set self afire dies

A 32-year-old supporter of Anna Hazare, who allegedly set himself on fire here last week, died in a hospital today Saturday morning, police said.

Dinesh Yadav succumbed to his injuries in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital where he was undergoing treatment, a senior police official said.

The deceased's family has taken his body to Paliganj in Bihar, he said.

Yadav had allegedly raised pro-Hazare slogans and poured petrol on himself before setting himself on fire near Rajghat on August 23.

He sustained 90% burn injuries and was rushed to LNJP hospital.
