According to the police, the syndicate was operated by two persons, including a woman, who procured crude heroin from opium-growing areas of Jharkhand, before converting it into fine quality heroin.
“Jakir Hussain, 45, was arrested and one kg heroin recovered from his possession,” said a senior police officer.
Hussain’s interrogation, police said, led to Nazma Bibi, 26, who was arrested from outside Rithala Metro station and 500 gm heroin was recovered from her possession.
