Kalyan Mahotsavam on March 21

The sprawling grounds of the Venkateswara College in south Delhi would witness the celestial wedding of Lord Balaji along with his consorts Laxmi (Sridevi) and Padmavati (Bhudevi) on March 21 at the Kalyan Mahotsavam.

For the Mahotsavam, processional idols made of panchadhatu (five metals) would be brought to Delhi from Tirupati.

“Actually, there are a lot of elderly people who cannot make it to Tirupati. So, these idols have been brought here especially for them,” said N R Babu, convenor of the Kalyana Mahotsavam.

“This is the third such event,” he added.
