The Delhi police, on Saturday, arrested a man who reportedly killed a security guard while attempting to rob a Delhi Jal Board safe.

According to the police, the accused, Ram Niwas, is a 40-year-old resident of Dhaulpur, Rajasthan. Niwas killed a security guard at the Shahdara office of DJB on October 30, to break into the cash vault inside the office, they said.
"During investigation, we found out that some people used stay the nights inside the (office) complex. They were reportedly friends with the deceased. It was noticed that one of them was missing for 10 days before the incident. His whereabouts were traced to a village in Dhaulpur," said Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (northeast).
