Man ends life in Lajpat Nagar

A 42-year-old man committed suicide in Lajpat Nagar-III area of South Delhi. Ravi Arora was found dead inside his house. He allegedly consumed poison, reports Karan Choudhury.

A 42-year-old man committed suicide in Lajpat Nagar-III area of South Delhi on Friday. Ravi Arora was found dead inside his house on Friday afternoon. He allegedly consumed poison.

According to the police, Arora was a cloth merchant in Lajpat Nagar. He was suffering from depression, as he was divorced from wife. His wife and 15-year old son Kannu live in the same house but in different sections. They had no contact with Arora.

Family members discovered the body in his room and the television was on. The police was called in around 3:00 pm.

They also discovered a suicide note from the victim’s body. “In the note, he said he does not blame anyone. He regrets being away from his wife and son. He said he missed them and that led to him committing suicide,” said a senior police official.
