On Thursday night, a team of the crime branch, which is conducting a parallel investigation, conducted raids in east Delhi's Trilokpuri and Kalyanpuri to nab two persons, who they believe were probably connected with the murder.

Though the team could not nab the suspects they were looking for, a senior crime branch officer said raids were conducted following specific information.

"We were hopeful that the interrogation of the suspects we were hunting for would provide us some clues. But we can not confirm that the same suspects were the perpetrators of the crime," said the senior officer.

Asked if the two suspects were the same who had made a friendly entry into Sarojini's house and murdered her, the officer said it could be established only after their interrogation.

"We have prepared a list of people who had access to the victim's house. While going through the list we found that some persons were untraceable. The two are among those untraceable persons," the officer added.

According to sources, similar raids were conducted by teams of east Delhi Police in the same localities. However, the police denied it.
