MCD teams demolish illegal constructions
The demolition squad of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) demolished a number of unauthorised structures constructed during the Commonwealth Games period.

The demolition squad of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) demolished a number of unauthorised structures constructed during the Commonwealth Games period.
"The police force was not available during several days due to the Games to carrying out demolitions against unauthorised constructions. As a result, the builders' lobby carried out a lot of unauthorised construction thinking that no action will be taken against them. We started with our drive today," said a senior MCD official.
On Tuesday, number unauthorised properties were demolished in South Extension, Lajpat Nagar IV, Pul Pehladpur, Shyam Nagar among others.
