Metro services to be restricted during relay run

The Metro services between Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat stations will not be available from 2.30 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, the DMRC said.

The services of Delhi Metro in the Vishwavidyalaya-Central Secretariat section will be partially curtailed on Thursday in view of the Olympic torch relay run in New Delhi.

The Metro services between Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat stations will not be available from 2.30 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, the DMRC said on Tuesday.

The Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat stations will remain closed during that period, it said adding, the decision was taken as per the advice of Delhi Police.

However, services between Vishwavidyalaya and Rajiv Chowk section as also in Shahdara-Rithala and Indraprastha-Dwarka sections will remain normal throughout the day.
