Women passengers boarding Metro trains from Badarpur and travelling towards Central Secretariat will have the last coach reserved for them. However, women passengers travelling from Central Secretariat towards Badarpur should note that the first coach will continue to be the reserved coach for ladies as before.

"This step is being taken to ensure that ladies exit and enter the same coach and to avoid inconvenience to women passengers who had to otherwise face difficulties in de-boarding at the interchange station," said Anuj Dayal, spokesperson, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Announcements about the change will be made inside the trains running on this route. Guards will be deployed to guide the passengers, he said.
