Family members of the kids also badly damaged the van driven by the accused; it was only after the police used a little force that they were able to control the livid crowd.

Ratawal, who was arrested on Friday, following a complaint by the victims at the Prasad Nagar police station, was being taken to court on Saturday, when the relatives assaulted him.

An angry crowd gathered at the police station. When Ratawal was brought out, they beat him up and damaged the cab in which he used to ferry school children. The victims' mother, Rajkumari, said she wanted the accused to be punished for such heinous acts. She even complained that despite knowing everything, the police was not doing enough to investigate the case. “I have told them everything. Even then, they are harassing us and making my children go through the ordeal repeatedly,” she said.

The driver's three friends raped Rajkumari's daughter and two sons. Ratawal allegedly used to drug the children and then sexually assault them. He also allegedly made MMS clips of the sexual assault and threatened to kill their mother, if they disclosed the sequence of events to anyone. HTC
