Monday hottest day this season, expect rain relief on Wednesday

The city recorded the highest temperature of the season so far, with the mercury touching 37.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, on Monday. The minimum temperature was recorded as 20 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.

The minimum temperature was recorded as 20 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.

Similar weather is expected on Tuesday as well, but the city may see some rainfall on Wednesday, following which the temperature may come down by a couple of degrees.

According to the weatherman, a western disturbance is expected to bring light rain to the city on Wednesday.

"The high temperature in the city has increased the possibility of rainfall in the Capital. The western disturbance is also expected to bring rainfall to Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh," the DDGM, Regional Met Centre, Delhi said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures on Tuesday are expected to be between 38 and 19 degree Celsius respectively.
