Zonal commander Yogendra Singh Bhokta, Satish Kumar (21) and Sheetal Kumar (19) were arrested from a house in Badarpur, southeast Delhi. Police claimed several other members of the outfit are on the run and they are probing whether the accused had any plans to disrupt the parliamentary polls in the Capital.

Singh sustained bullet injuries in his thigh during a shootout with a rival Naxal group in 2007. He then moved to Delhi under the assumed identity of Shiv Kumar and was under treatment at a south Delhi hospital since then, police said. “He used to plan operations and strikes in Jharkhand from New Delhi. He is wanted in several cases,” said Alok Kumar, DCP (Special Cell).
