Earlier last month, the Delhi High Court had questioned as to why the NMA had gone for 25 per cent FAR as against the 30 per cent allowed under municipal byelaws.

The intervention was necessitated in connection with the fact that the court’s infrastructure expansion plans were getting delayed due to absence of monument-specific heritage byelaws. “We have agreed on 30 per cent FAR,” said Pravin Shrivastava, NMA member-secretary.
