NRHM scam: CBI grills senior IAS officer

The CBI on Thursday questioned senior IAS officer Pradeep Shukla over the allegations that he had played a key role in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)-linked irregularities in the state that cost the exchequer losses of around Rs 15 crore in projects of worth around Rs 250 crore.

The CBI on Thursday questioned senior IAS officer Pradeep Shukla over the allegations that he had played a key role in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)-linked irregularities in the state that cost the exchequer losses of around Rs 15 crore in projects of worth around Rs 250 crore.

Shukla, a member of UP’s Revenue Board, is former family welfare principal secretary of the state.

Shukla was questioned for around eight hours at the agency’s headquarters in New Delhi. Shukla has been named in three of the 12 cases registered by the CBI as part of its probe into the NRHM scandal.
