Singh has contributed his one month's salary of Rs 69,850 to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for providing assistance to the people, a PMO spokesman said.

The Prime Minister has last week appealed to the people to donate generously to help fund the relief and rehabilitation measures for the flood-affected people in the state.

He had said the contributions can be made to "The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund" (PMNRF) which would be eligible for 100 per cent income tax deduction.
