Lobbyist Niira Radia did not appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning on Tuesday, citing health reasons.

Radia, who has to face the ED for her alleged role in the multi-crore 2G spectrum scam of 2008, is learnt to have sent a medical certificate as the reason for her absence.

The ED issued her summons for personal attendance following its dissatisfaction over the written replies submitted by Radia in response to the questionnaire sent to her by the Directorate.

Summons have been issued to her under the the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, seeking details of her bank accounts, ED sources said.
