Dikshit met Gandhi early morning to take her "guidance" on the selection of the "eligible" MLAs for the post of ministers in the new cabinet which will be formed soon, sources told PTI.
The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of hectic lobbying being done by senior party leaders for inclusion of their candidates in the cabinet.
According to the sources, the six-member cabinet is likely to have at least three new faces while some of the existing ministers would be dropped.
The 71-year-old leader was unanimously elected as the CLP leader on Wednesday at a meeting attended by all the newly elected 42 party MLAs, AICC General Secretary Mohsina Kidwai and DPCC chief Jai Prakash Aggarwal among others.
