Slain police informer’s wife gets reward

Delhi police on Tuesday felicitated 27-year-old Preeti, the widow of police informer Pramod, who had led the police to a gang of auto thieves in Noida on October 20, reports HT Correspondent.

Pramod was killed by the gangsters in the incident.

Preeti was handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh by HGS Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, south Delhi, at the Haus Khas Police Station on behalf of

Y.S Dadwal, Commissioner, Delhi Police.

The felicitation was to recognise her husband's

contribution and his death on the line of duty.

A resident of Badarpur, Pramod had been instrumental in leading a division of the South District Police to the hideout of a gang of car thieves in Noida.

The gang killed Pramod.

Other members associated with the gang were apprehended at the instance of those under the custody of the police after interrogation.
