The students, most of them hostellers, gathered outside the college hostel around 11pm and raised slogans against the college management. They demanded enquiry and action against the vice-principal whom they accused of allegedly ripping off the clothes of the 21-year-old victim from Kerala.
The agitation was temporarily suspended after the hospital administration assured them that they have formed a two-member committee to look into the matter.
Vani Tripathi, BJP national secretary said, “The girl was harassed and physically abused by the vice-principal just because her clothes were not clean. The vice-principal not only passed racial comments at her, but also ripped off her clothes.” A case has been registered at the Parliament Street police station.
