Delhi health minister Ashok Kumar Walia said their department has blacklisted PES Installation Pvt. Ltd. for “not following the standard procedure and failing in its duty to ensure safe supply of oxygen from manifold room to the ICU and to deploy un-trained persons in in-sufficient strength to operate the manifold system”.
“A committee constituted after the incident has come to the conclusion that PES Installation Pvt. Ltd. is accountable and responsible for the lapses. The company has been debarred from participating in any tender process or contract agreement with any of the government hospitals or health institutions for a period of two years,” Walia said.

“An FIR has also been lodged against the company under various sections of the IPC,” Walia added.

Senior health department officials said the minister has directed them to strictly follow the procedures in appointment of any contractor.
“He has also instructed the department to keep a close eye on the day-to-day functioning of the contractors in various hospitals to prevent such mishaps,” a health official said.
