Tripura to decide on board exams after studying CBSE’s evaluation system

“We can’t say anything final on conducting Class 10 and 12 board examinations till we get the nod from the health department. We will wait for another week to see the CBSE’s evaluation system,” said education minister Ratan Lal Nath

Tripura would wait for the evaluation system announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to decide on Class 10 and 12 examinations of the state education board amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We can’t say anything final on conducting Class 10 and 12 board examinations till we get the nod from the health department. We will wait for another week to see the CBSE’s evaluation system,” said education minister Ratan Lal Nath.

The decision is expected on June 21,he said.

The CBSE first cancelled this year’s Class 10 exams and last month, the Class 12 exams as well.

Two days ago, Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) president Dr Bhabatosh Saha said exams this year would include only 70% of the syllabi as topics were reduced because of the pandemic.
