CBSE 10th result 2019: Uncertainty around Class X board exam results date troubles students, parents
The uncertainty around the date for declaration of CBSE Class 10 results is giving sleepless nights not only to students but to parents as well.
The sudden declaration of class 12 board results, without any prior notice by the CBSE on Thursday, is acting as a catalyst intensifying the nervousness, curiosity and anxiousness among the students awaiting their class 10 CBSE results.
This unpredictability has caused quite a commotion. Class 10 students, Paridhi Vaish of Cathedral Senior Secondary School said, “We were calm as we were expecting results after May 20. But after what CBSE has done with class 12, my parents are even more nervous than I am.”
As the board examinations are life-making exams, the students are leaving no stone unturned to try and impress God. Some are praying day and night, while others have made different agreements with him for a good result.
Chaitanya Pawaia, a student of GD Goenka Public School said, “I am extremely nervous and I pray every night to obtain above 85%. My seniors told me that their answer sheets were checked with much leniency, hope the same happens with us too. If I get a good result, I am sure my parents will distribute sweets in the entire locality.”
His classmate Hina Naela said, “Considering how unpredictable CBSE has become, I hope the result comes out tomorrow otherwise our anxiety will reach another level. I have prayed to God that if I get a good result, I will distribute ‘Besan ka laddo’ among poor people.”
Asking about her degree of nervousness she said, “Ever since class 12 result had been declared, I have had three panic attacks. I am just awake for most part of the night wondering about my result. Though there is no family pressure but teachers and relatives expect a lot from a good performer.”
Contrary to them are few students who are less of nervous and more of confident. They believe prayers won’t make any difference and sleepless nights won’t help. Two such friends are Ekansh Bharti and Mukul Gupta.
Ekansh Bharti said, “I take proper sleep and I do not pray because I am very confident and certain that my result will be as per my expectations.”
Agreeing with her was Mukul, who said, “The worst part is that no date has been officially declared by the CBSE board. I am not scared but my parents are worried. Though I am keeping calm and expect above 90% because my exams went well. And so I don’t feel any need to pray. “
All in all, the students are not happy with this unpredictable behaviour of the CBSE Board.
