AP EAMCET results 2018 released, JEE Main topper Bhogi Suraj Krishna gets first rank, check top 10 list
AP EAMCET results 2018 were released today, Bhogi Suraj Krishna from Vijayawada, who also topped the JEE main exam, got the first rank in the engineering stream.
Vijayawada’s Bhogi Suraj Krishna who bagged the No. 1 rank in the IIT-JEE Main 2018 examination has topped engineering stream of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), results for which were declared Wednesday.

Hyderabad’s Gattu Maitreya, who came fifth in the IIT JEE-Main exam, bagged the second rank in EAMCET, said Ganta Srinivasa Rao, minister for higher education, at a press conference in Vijayawada.
Rao said out of 1,90,922 students, who appeared for EAMCET on April 22, 1,38,017, or 72.28%, qualified. As many as 8,529 candidates were not given ranks though they qualified in the entrance test, because they had failed in intermediate (Class XII) examination.
Similarly in the agriculture stream, 73,373 students appeared for the entrance of which 63,883 students got qualified, with total qualifying percentage being 87.60. However, 2,668 students were not given ranks because they had failed in the Class 12 examination.
The counselling for admission into engineering and agriculture colleges would begin from May 26. Classes would commence from June 11, the minister said.
Medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh are exempt from EAMCET, as students are now selected through NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) at the all-India level. As such, EAMCET was conducted only for engineering and agriculture streams.
