APSC assistant engineer exam on August 28; 6,220 candidates to appear

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) will conduct a written exam for the selection of assistant engineers under public health engineering department on August 28. Assistant engineers will be selected in civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical disciplines.

A total of 6,220 candidates have registered for the exam.

Admit cards of the candidates will be released on August 22. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download the admit card from the official website of the Commission using their registration details.

On August 20, the Commission will release the selected and rejected list of candidates on the basis of the application forms submitted.

The exam will be held in two shifts: the first shift will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and the exam will be held for general studies paper in this shift; the second shift will be held from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm and the exam for engineering (civil, mechanical and electrical) discipline will be held in this shift.

Meanwhile, the Assam civil services prelims will be held on September 12. The admit cards of all candidates who had registered for the exam can download admit cards from August 23. A total of 331 vacancies will be filled through this exam in phases. The preliminary exam will be held in 31 districts and the main exam will only be held in Guwahati.
