The startling disclosure has come in the report of a panel which probed charges of tampering with results in the university result branch in the academic year 2013-14, leading to increase in the marks of 11 BA LLB students.

As per the report, the 3-member committee has found that an examiner, Dr Archana Malik, who had evaluated the answer sheets of BA LLB students pertaining to the history exam of the third semester held in December 2013, had even re-written the answers of 11 students.

The report says that Archana Malik, who is assistant professor at Bhagat Phool Singh Women University, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, had colluded with two officials of MDU’s secrecy branch Madhu and Pradeep Kumar to increase marks of 11 students.

Talking to HT, a member of the committee, said, “We took the help of handwriting and finger print experts and it was found that the answer sheets were tampered and alterations were made in them in Archana Malik’s handwriting”.

MDU vice-chancellor (V-C) Sudhir Rajpal said, “I have not seen the report yet. Action will be taken after I go through it”.
