Experts from Yale and other varsities to speak at art fair

Experts from different educational institutions are expected to speak at the India Art Fair’s fifth edition, scheduled to be held from February 1 to 3, 2013, in New Delhi.

Experts from different educational institutions are expected to speak at the India Art Fair’s fifth edition, scheduled to be held from February 1 to 3, 2013, in New Delhi. The main component of the educational programme at the event, which is India’s modern and contemporary art fair, is the Speakers’ Forum. The forum includes a series of topical seminars and conversations that bring together a panel of experts from the art world to discuss key issues pertaining to art in the region and at the global level. Robert Storr, dean, Yale School of Art; TJ Demos, reader, modern and contemporary art, University College London, Patrick D Flores, professor of art studies at the department of art studies, University of the Philippines; Parul Dave Mukherji, dean, School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, will be part of the panel of experts. Students will also get to gain work experience opportunities during the fair. Out of 100 applications, 20 students have been selected from art schools and colleges across India.
