Tell us something about your project?
OurHealthMate is a Singapore-based social startup that helps non-resident Indians staying abroad take care of their family’s health back in India. OurHealthMate’s network currently has more than 2,000 doctors providing services through more than 750 medical centres in 50 cities across India. NRIs need to geographically narrow down hospitals, then choose a doctor, book an appointment and pay. Hospitals use their electronic medical record systems to manage their appointments, patients and billing.
What role did NUS play?
NUS has not supported us financially, but helped in terms of mentorship, giving office space, and legal services (most importantly). This was more than what we had expected.
How much profit do you earn?
OurHealthMate is a young startup. We are currently not making any profit. We recently raised US$ 440,000 to expand the team and strengthen our operations. We expect decent amount of revenues coming by end of this year.
