The results will be made available to students through mobile texts, besides the council’s website and CAREERS portal.

“Individual candidates can access the results by logging onto the council’s website – www.cisce.org – and selecting the Results 2017 option,” said Gerry Arathoon, the council’s chief executive and secretary.

The results were delayed for multiple reasons this year, the foremost being the CBSE’s indecision over the moderation policy till Friday. Rescheduling of the ICSE and ISC examinations due to the assembly elections held across five states earlier this year did not help either.

At least eight papers clashed with election dates in five states, and had to be conducted on a later date. While the ISC examination was advanced by a week (January 30-April 26), the ICSE exams were delayed by 10 days (March 10-April 21). As per the earlier schedule, the ISC and the ICSE examinations were supposed to begin on February 6 and February 27 respectively.

Nearly 2,50,871 candidates – 1,76,327 for ICSE and 74,544 for ISC – had registered for the exams this year.
