JEE main result 2018: Andhra, Telangana students bag 5 out of top 10 ranks

Students from the two Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana bagged five of the top 10 ranks and eight of the first 20 ranks at the all India level in the IIT JEE Main 2018 results that were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) on Monday.
Bhogi Suraj Krishna from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh got the No. 1 rank at the all India level. Another student KVR Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Visakhapatnam grabbed the second rank at the all-India level. These two students got 350 out of 360 marks in the JEE Main 2018 examination.
Gattu Mythreya from Hyderabad bagged the fifth rank, Dakarapu Bharat from Andhra Pradesh got the eighth rank and Gosula Vinayaka Srivardhan from Telangana got the 10th rank.
Two other Telugu students – Jatoth Shiva Tarun from Telangana and Pinnamreddy Lokeshwar Reddy from Andhra Pradesh also bagged the 14th and 15th ranks, respectively.
Telugu students have been doing extremely well in the IIT entrance tests for the last several years. Last year, as many as 7,502 Telugu students cleared the IIT JEE Advanced Mains and got admission in various IITs in the country.
