The Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust awards scholarships to Indian women graduates who wish to pursue their higher education abroad. The Trust is inviting applications from women candidates with an exceptional academic record for the current academic year 2011- 2012. The scholarships can be availed in the study fields of social work, social science, education, education and welfare of children with special needs, status - health and empowerment of women, gender studies, child health, development nutrition, health policy and health education, public health - community health services, reproductive health, and rural development work (with a focus on women and children) and communication for development (with a focus on women’s issues).
Eligibility:
The women candidate is required to possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. The candidate should have an excellent academic record throughout. The candidate must have secured admission or should have at least applied for admission to a reputable university or institution abroad at the time of submission of the application form for the current academic year, 2011-2012.
Work experience in their respective fields will be considered as an added advantage for the candidate seeking the scholarship.
Candidates who have completed their studies in a part-time, short-term or correspondence mode are not eligible
to apply for the scholarship
How to apply:
The application forms will be available from the trust’s office at Mulla House, third floor, 51 MG Road, Mumbai, from March 22, 2011 till April 21, 2011.
