"The fees will remain same as it was in 2020-21 session due to the pandemic," said secretary technical education, Alok Kumar.
He said students enrolled in 750 engineering colleges across the state under technical education department and 1,247 polytechnic institutes attached to technical education council will benefit by the decision.
The current fee structure was decided by state government for three years in 2017-18. The fresh order has extended the existing fee structure for another year.
Students and their parents are happy with government's decision as several people have suffered job loss or cut in salary due to prolonged lockdown/corona curfew across the state.
