The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the roll numbers of 3,850 candidates, who have been provisionally shortlisted to appear in an aptitude test for the posts of assistant station master (ASM) in the Indian Railways, on its official websites.
The candidates have been selected on the basis of their performance in the 2nd stage computer-based test (CBT) for Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC-Graduate) positions. The exam was held from January 17 to January 19.
The roll numbers have been arranged in ascending order horizontally and not in order of merit. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated through SMS/e-mail for downloading of e-call letters to appear in aptitude test likely to be held in June or July.
Candidates can check the list by clicking here or at the bottom of the story. A PDF page containing the list of shortlisted candidates and instructions about the aptitude test exam will be displayed. The test will be computer based.
It may comprise of several test batteries and the candidates will have to qualify in each of these batteries to be considered for the posts. The marks of only such candidates who qualify in each of the batteries individually will be added to the 2nd stage written exam scores to draw the merit list.
The ratio of 2nd stage CBT marks and aptitude test marks shall be 70:30. If a candidate scores less than the respective qualifying marks in any battery of the aptitude test, they will be eliminated from the selection process for ASM. However, they will be eligible to be considered for other posts depending upon their merit cum preferences and suitability.
The candidates may visit the website of RRB and view the mock test link for aptitude test containing important instructions, test procedure, norms of evaluation for the computer based aptitude test.
The board had on May 25 released the normalised mark of the second stage examination of the candidates.
The advertisement (CEN 03/2015) regarding the exam, published in December 2015, sought to recruit people for various posts, including assistant station master, clerk, goods guard, typist, apprentice, and junior accounts assistant in the railways.
