SSC GD constable recruitment 2018: Apply for 54,953 vacancies now

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for recruitment of Constable General duty (GD) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP) Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and rifleman (GD) in Assam rifles. The commission will fill tentatively 54,953 (47,307 males and 7646 females) posts through this recruitment process.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.

The application process starts on July 24 and the last date for receipt of application is August 24 till 5pm. The date for start of application process was July 21 in the original notification for the job. However, SSC issued a notification on Sunday (July 22) saying that the due to some technical problem application process will start on July 24 and close on August 24.

The date of the computer based test will be notified later. The admit card for the examination will not be sent by post and will be uploaded on regional and sub-regional websites of SSC. The admit card will also be available on CRPF’s website crpf.gov.in.

Pay scale: 21,700 to 69,100.

Eligibility: Candidate must be citizen of India and as the vacancies are state/UT wise, they must submit domicle/PRC against his her state/UT.

Age: The candidate must be between 18-23 years of age as on August 1, 2018. There is relaxation of age for SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen and some other category candidates.

Educational qualification as on August 1, 2018: Matriculation or Class 10 pass from recognised university or board.
