Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Ashok Tripathi grabbed the third spot with 41,750 votes. The top three parties got 44.2%, 25.3% and 22.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Nagendra Singh #munna Yadav# outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Sanjay by 7,510 votes.
