West Bengal Election: Nakashipara Assembly Constituency 2022

Nakashipara comes under the Nadia district and it is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Nakashipara voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on April 22 and the result was declared on May 2.

In 2016, the Nakashipara assembly seat had 2,19,957 registered voters. Of the, 1,14,947 were male and 1,05,008 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election, there were 6 candidates in the fray from Nakashipara constituency. Nakashipara was one of 211 seats won by the Communist Party Of India (Marxist). It was a close contest with All India Trinamool Congress's Kallol Khan winning the election upstaging Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Tanmay Ganguli by a margin of just 6,250 votes.

90.6% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. All India Trinamool Congress's Kallol Khan got a total of 88,032 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Tanmay Ganguli got 81,782 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Anup Kumar Mondal grabbed 12,724 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 46.9%, 43.6% and 6.8% respectively.

In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Kallol Khan beat Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Gayatri Sardar by 16,474 votes.
