The video also had a blurred Rahul shaking his leg with the guests. Athiya makes a blink-and-miss appearance seemingly in a white outfit. Several other videos also featured songs like Salman Khan's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Hero No 1 song Sona Kitna Sona Hai, which was a part of the playlist of the sangeet night which took place at Athiya's father-actor Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala.
Athiya and KL Rahul had been dating for quite a few years. They, however, never spoke about each other publicly, but kept dropping hints on social media. They finally made it Insta official with a birthday post. Later, they made their relationship public at the screening of her brother Ahaan Shetty's debut film, Tadap. Rahul and Athiya were also joined by Athiya's family, who shares a good bond with him, at the red carpet event.
According to sources, their wedding is a three-day private affair at Suniel's Khandala farmhouse, only attended by their family members and close friends. It kickstarted with a ladies’ night. An insider earlier told Hindustan Times, “It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps."
Suniel Shetty, who repeatedly denied reports about Athiya and KL Rahul's wedding, recently talked to the paparazzi about the same and assured them that the bride and groom will pose for pictures after the wedding on Monday. In a video shared by a paparazzo account, Suniel said, "Main kal leke aata hoon bachhon ko. Aapne jo pyaar dikhaya uske liye bohot bohot thank you (I will bring the kids tomorrow, Thank you for showing so much love)."
Athiya made her acting debut with the romantic action film Hero in 2015. Since then, she has starred in only two films--Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019).
