The 45-year-old actress’ representative told People magazine that the mishap occurred during the rehearsal of her upcoming musical Leap Of Faith. “Brooke broke her hand during rehearsal for the musical Leap of Faith. The cast will be off before previews on September 11. It was a minor break and did not affect the production schedule,” the representative said.

The Blue Lagoon star has been sporting a cast over her wrist and last two fingers after slipping while rehearsing. Shields is starring with Raul Esparaza in the show at the Ahmanson Theatre, which opens on October 3.
