Eastwood, 79, had last year announced that Gran Torino was his final film as a leading man, and while appearing on golfing pal George Lopez’s chat show on December 8, he confirmed his decision.

“I’m done. I’m a senior here (and) you get to a certain stage and you think, ‘Why not just stand behind the camera?’” he said.
