Esha Gupta in no mood to celebrate

It has been a good year for Esha Gupta, professionally. Her debut film, Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi, was one of the highest grossing movies of the year. It was followed by Raaz 3, which was another success at the box office.

It has been a good year for Esha Gupta, professionally. Her debut film, Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi, was one of the highest grossing movies of the year. It was followed by Raaz 3, which was another success at the box office. The dusky beauty is even considered to be a lucky mascot for the Bhatts (Vishesh Films). A friend close to Esha says, “The Bhatts find her extremely lucky as she has given them two back-to-back hits and their first Rs 100cr film.”

However, in spite of the professional high, Esha hit a personal low last month, when she lost her grandmom.

“Esha was really close to her grandmom, and dealing with it has been tough for her,” says the friend, adding that the news left her so disheartened that she chose not to celebrate Diwali. “Her family had made plans, but everything was cancelled.”

Esha says, “When my granny passed away last month, I just wanted to quietly spend the holiday at home with my family. It has been a great year for me. But I just did not feel like celebrating.”
