Actress Kareena Kapoor can’t stop gushing about her on-screen chemistry with Aamir Khan.

People are really curious about your role in 3 Idiots...

(Smiles) I think I’m the only one who’s not an ‘idiot’ in the film. Every character in the film comes with a message. And in the second half, my entire character comes to life. And of course, the pleasure of being Aamir’s love interest. I firmly believe that an actress’s career is not complete if she hasn’t worked with Aamir Khan.

What first struck you when you were offered the role?
That I’d be a fool to say no! I don’t know when Indian cinema will get to see the combination of Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan again. Both make films only once in two years.

You were to work with Aamir earlier in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Mr Singh and Mrs Mehta...
I always believe that when things eventually work out, it turns out to be better than the best. And I couldn’t asked for anything better than 3 Idiots.

How different was it working with Rajkumar Hirani?
Whatever I say about Raju will never be enough. I don’t want to be a part of a successful film where I don’t have anything to do. I’d rather be a part of a flop film where I’ve a great role. Working with Aamir has given me such a high that the film is already a hit in my mind. Whatever be the fate of this film, for me, my journey as an actress is complete.

Who did you bond with the best?
All of them. Sharman is a lot of fun. I shared a great rapport with Maddy. I’ve known Aamir since Andaaz Apna Apna. He and Saif are friendly too. Saif even said that Aamir and I make the best pair.

Any last words?
Enjoy 3 Idiots. I’m greedy for different kinds of roles. I’d like to be known as an actor first and then a star.
