Actor Katrina Kaif seems to be on a spiritual spree these days. The actor, who was in news recently for her alleged break-up with actor Salman Khan, has been spotted at various religious places across the country in the last few months. Her latest visit was to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, on October 30. Dressed in a white suit, Kat had covered her face to keep paparazzi at bay while she offered prayers at the Sikh shrine.

Only a week back, Kaif offered prayers at the historical Mata Kali Temple in Patiala. The actor, whose upcoming movies include

Zindagi Mile Na Dobara

and

Tees Mar Khan

, also took some time off from the hectic shooting schedule of Yash Raj’s

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

, and headed to Haridwar for a holy dip in the Ganga in mid-October.

“She’s a spiritual person. She tries to visit sacred spaces in the vicinity, whenever possible,” says a source close to her, not wishing to be named. In the past, the actor has visited other places of worship, such as Shirdi, and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.

Industry experts feel finding solace in God before big movies is nothing new in Bollywood. “People in our industry are known to be superstitious … to seek blessings is commonplace,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh. While some speculate that Kat’s ongoing pilgrimage is a result of the turmoil from her reported break-up, and others even suspect it to be a publicity stunt, director Anees Bazmee, who has worked with the actor, says, “Of whatever I have known of Katrina, she is a very God-fearing girl. I don’t think she is doing it for publicity.”
